Modifier 80

Does anyone know if when you bill for the assistant surgeon only and in another practice a physician bills for the main fee do you need any additional information on the claim for the assistant surgeon other than the 80 mod?

I would make sure that the dx and procedure codes match.

Hi Stacy,
From what i know is you have to verify first if your code is payable for the assistant surgeon, you ca verify it to the link below just click it, then click the I Agree and Accept, then choose (type of information) payment policy indicator, and then type your procedure code.
