Hello All,
I am new to general and preventative medicine and am having trouble with modifier 90 and labs drawn in office and being sent out to a lab. All of the medicare and medicare advantage plans are rejecting these claims in the clearinghouse. Is this not a valid modifier for Medicare?

I believe 90 is used by laboratories sending to another reference lab. What codes are you entering with -90?
As you are not performing the testing, you should be billing your E/M and probably a blood draw 36415.
