Wiki Modifier for supervision of procedure

Is there a modifier to use when a provider supervises a procedure done by a resident in a hospital inpatient setting?

We use GC for direct supervision and GE would never be appropriate in the inpatient setting because none of the codes fall under the primary care exception rule. Of course these are CMS guidelines and it's like pulling teeth trying to find out who follows these besides Medicare.
