Wiki Modifier for vaccines?

I'm training in PEDS now and they put a modifier 25 next to the E&M code when vaccines are administered. they tell me that otherwise the vaccines don't get paid. I can't find a reason for it. can anyone help?

Hello. They are correct. You can bill with Modifier 25 to the E/M code or it otherwise it will be considered inclusive. Also, where I work, we append the SL modifier to the vaccine if they are state supplied.
