Does anyone have any official guidance related to Critical Care and the FT modifier that it should or should not be used if the surgery was performed at a different hospital? Pt had recent aneurysm surgery at a hospital not associated with our system, now presents to our hospital with extension of aneurysm and critical care ensued. So, yes likely related, but it's not "our" global period.
