During the same operative session one of my cardiovascular surgeons did a carotid endarterectomy at the beginning of the case and after he completed the procedure, the pt was placed on bypass and another of my surgeons did a coronary artery bypass x 3. Neither surgeon assisted each other. I cannot find a modifier that describes this scenario, sooooo I'm thining I don't need one?? Will someone either agree with me or lead me to an appropriate modifier. Thx!
