Can modifier 76 be appended to "Q" codes for skin substitute grafts?
For instance, a claim needs to be split due to high $ amount.......should -76 be appended to the Q code on claim 2 (of 2...or whatever it may be.).
We have never had any issues in appending it previously, but as of recent, we have received conflicting info from an outside source (wound care biller) saying that it cannot be appended to the graft codes.
Looking for confirmation as to which is correct.......any help/input is appreciated!
