Colonoscopy Modifier for additional time? The provider stated the colonoscopy took longer; I am not familiar with a modifier that would be appropriate for this. Any help would be great. Thank you

Hi there, I assume they mean modifier 22. Here's the full descriptor
Increased Procedural Services: When the work required to provide a service is substantially greater than typically required, it may be identified by adding modifier 22 to the usual procedure code. Documentation must support the substantial additional work and the reason for the additional work (ie, increased intensity, time, technical difficulty of procedure, and severity of patient's condition, physical and mental effort required). Note: This modifier should not be appended to an E/M service.

I recommend checking with the payer to see if they have any documentation guidelines. The provider might need to prepare a separate letter that compares the work/time for a "normal" procedure to this procedure.
