Can you put a modifier on 99024, if the Dr. does an injection on knee joint during a post op period of fractured hip. Dr. only stated that pt was having knee pain and he was going to due the joint injection. I have not ran into this before.

You would not need a modifier on 99024 since this is not a billable service. You will need a 79 modifier on the knee injection.
