Wiki Modifiers aa and qk incompatible ?

Please clarify that only one of these codes should be billed, not both.
We are secondary payer and primary payer paid $0 indicating that the
modifiers submitted are incompatible.

Modifiers AA and QK

You are correct. Either AA or QK could be used for the physician portion, depending on the scenario. AA means the physician was alone on the case, QK would be that he is medically supervising 1-4 CRNAs. If you need further help, feel free to email me kellie.nienajadly@live.com.
