This is for either neuro or ortho surgical procedures - does anyone use rt and or lt when coding spinal surgery? Ex: 63030 (rt or lt)
 
RT and LT are statistical modifiers, meaning they do not affect payment. It is elective to use them to receive payment. But correct coding would dictate that it is best for us to tell the whole picture and use them.
