I have a provider that took a shave biopsy and cut the specimen in half. He processed half for frozen section analysis in the Mohs lab with credit to him/Mohs lab, and determined there was cancer and treated with Mohs on the same day. He sent the other half of the specimen to the pathology lab. Question is, can we bill the 88331 and the 88305?

Was the entire shave biopsied lesion treated with Mohs? If so then I would not bill for 88305.
