What is the consensus on how to bill for a scheduled breast biopsy? The patient was prepped for the biopsy, an injection was given, and pre- and post-images were scanned to locate the previously seen mass, but the biopsy was then discontinued due to not being able to locate the lesion. Would you bill the biopsy code 19085 with a discontinued modifier or bill as an MRI of the Breast CPT 77059?
