I'm new to MRA/MRI coding. In the CPT book it states "do not report 76377 in conjunction with 70544" AND the CCI edits has "0 for not allowed". Is it a valid and true statement that it is NOT okay to add modifier 59 and bill these two codes together (I'm getting opposing comments)? Thank you.
 
Yes you can report both codes together and modifier 59 is not used, only if your are also coding a brain mri, then modifier 59 (xs) is used on the mra code.
