Wiki MRI w & w/o contrast

For MRIs with and without contrast, 72148 and 72149 done at separate encounters (same day, hours apart) can these be billed separately? Or do I need to use 72158?

The NCCI edit for 72149 with 72148 is 0, indicating modifier not allowed.

Based on this, I think it unlikely that the insurance company would pay for both.
