I am a biller for a podiatry office that recently expanded to Orthopedics. Since I am new to a multi-specialty practice I had a question. Our orthopedic doctor performed surgery on a foot/toe of a patient. The patient was having complications and since the orthopedic doctor was in surgery this patient saw one of our podiatrist in the office. How do we bill when the patient sees a different specialists for a complication from a surgery? (Patient would also be in the 90 day global post op period)
