Can you bill a removal of foreign body via colonoscopy (45379) code more than once? My surgeon removed 3 batteries and a razor blade from the sigmoid colon, and to do it she essentially had to do 5 sigmoidoscopies (There's actually still a battery in there). There were GI docs available, but I think the razor blade made them nervous; they asked my surgeon to do it in case it perforated the colon, but it's been a few years since I billed for GI.
 
Were they all done in the same setting? If so, I think you should bill with a 22 modifier and submit documentation.
