A child was given 3 separate inhalation treatments in our office. The ins. carrier is a CMO (Amerigroup). Should we code the first CPT 94640 x 1, then for the 2nd and 3rd treatment 94640/76 (for repeat procedure) x 2 units, or 94640/76 x 1 and then 94640/76 again?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
 
You should code the first CPT 94640 x 1, then for the 2nd and 3rd treatment 94640/76 (for repeat procedure) x 2 units, and we put a modifier 25 on the office visit code also. hope this helps!!!
