MD performed home visit, then was called back later in the evening and performed another home visit. Is there a modifier for physicians similar to -27 for hospitals to show that these were separate visits????

I'd recommend you combine the documentation from both visits, and bill a single home visit code for that day. Otherwise, one will get denied. If you combine the documentation, you might be able to bill a higher LOS, and the one visit will be considered for payment.
