Does anybody know the correct way to bill 7 stages of mohn on the trunk?
17313
17314X6
or separage each stage in individual lines?

Please help:confused:

Be careful not to confused "stages" with "blocks." Stages are the number of times the doctor has to go back in the operating room - ie: how many times he goes through the process of cutting and then examining the tissue. Blocks are the number of pieces a large specimen has to be cut into in order to examine it.

So Billing2012 was correct:
17313
17314X6 (You can bill this as multiple units on a single line)

Never use 17315 unless it was a huge specimen that had to be cut up into more than five blocks.

Thank you Catch The Wind for the clarification! (I always get stages/blocks confused) I have used 17315 before but in that case it was a VERY huge Speciman on the Scalp with 8 "Tissue" Blocks
