We are new a coding Cardiology and I have a physician that will be doing heart caths however if there is a stent needed then another physician will be taking over the surgery to put the stent in. Would we just bill for the stent surgery with the physician that put the stent in and not do anything with the physician that started the surgery? The doctor that is doing the caths is being proctored by the other physician for a number of cases before being able to do it on his own.
