Hi All,
Is anyone having any luck with getting Mcal to pay for multiple u/sounds (cpt 76816) when done during the same encounter?
We are following all Mcal guidelines; including Box 19 comments, etc. We are also using a -59 Modifiers as advised by Mcal Reps/CSU. And, we're still beign denied as "duplicate".
We are going to attempt to bill the 2nd code with a -77 modifier as it is a "repeat/same physician" for the 2nd fetus.
Any feedback is appreciated.
