Please provide opinions as to how to code for a patient admitted through the ED for multiple trauma from a MVA, requiring critical care on admission then later the same date requiring another encounter qualifying as critical care by a different physician, same group. I understand I will aggregate the CC to one physician, but can the initial hospital care code (admit) be billed in addition to the two physicians' critical care time? Thanks,
