One of our doctors "lavages" the sinus' to check for pertussis. He inserts a tube into the nasal cavity irrigates with saline then aspirates the contaminated saline back out and sends it off to the lab for diagnosis. Is there such a code for doing this procedure. I did find 31000-31002 "Lavage my cannulation" however that seems more involved than what our physicias is doing, and ideas, Thanks Terry
