Yesterday a Michigan Blue Cross Auditor stated that the nurse is required to document the NDC and units of the ndc in the chart. As of Feb 1, 2014 we are required to report NDC and NDC units to BC on our billing--since we do infusions and chemo for about 100 patients per day and our BC is 25% of our business I am asking if any one else has had this issue brought up? I do not feel that a nurse should have to do this documentation? The Mar documents, how, when, what was done and is signed off on, but does not have supporting J codes or ndc's that is all located within the fee schedule or chargemaster?
