A couple months ago our computer software company preloaded NDC numbers into their system. Last year our commercial payers would only accept the carton NDC from us for one of our vaccines. How do you know which NDC is the correct one to use? Is it the unit of sale NDC or the unit of use NDC? Is there a golden rule on this? Everything I keep seeing just says "each individual payer will determine which NDC number you should use when submitting for reimbursement" which makes me question if I am using the correct NDC.
