Should we use 994.1 for history of near drowning? Pt has multiple problems because of this, should I only be coding the symptoms
 
Would the late effect DX codes apply to your situation?

Can you give some additional info on how long ago was the near-drowning, what are these current symptoms/problems etc
 
2 years ago and they now have MR / CP , the MD wrote this code and I dont think its valid, thank you for responding I have sent back to the MD to have them review and suggested one of the follow codes 909.4 or 348.1
