I was reading an op report today and noticed that my surgeon put this statement in his op report. "Prior to clipping and dividing the cystic duct, we switched over to near infrared fluorescent imaging and identified the cystic duct entering the gallbladder."
I have not heard of this and was wondering if this is billable or included in the cholecystectomy that was done.

Thanks
