necrotic mediport (recalled by manufacturer)

I have no more information from hospital except that the person has necrotic tissue (chest) caused by mediport that has been recalled by manufacturer.

999.31 is the only code I saw regarding infection due to port a cath. Then do you add a code for skin necrosis because there is no necrosis site for the chest.

How about a E code?

yes you need the code for the skin necrosis and then you do need an Ecode one that says either complication after surgery or maybe complication due to implanted device.
