Hello,

The provider documented emphysema with Asthma. Can I use J43 and J45 category codes together?
 
There are no excludes notes for either one stating you cannot code them together.

You can also do a search on this forum for asthma and emphysema for previous discussions on this.

Thanks for your Replay. I researched Asthma with Emphysema but it's all ICD-9 guidelines or post. I know how to code it in ICD-9. Thanks once again for your help.
