Is there a Modifier that can be used... I have a patient that was inpatient and was transferred to our facility for a Pet scan. Medicare is stating to bill part A. We can not bill part A we are an outpatient fac. Is there a modifier that can be used to bill part B.

The only thing you can bill Part B for is the interpretation for the scan, if the physician that interpreted is part of your facility. Then you can use the scan code with a modifier 26.
