Hi there,

My doc treated a patient with suspected endocarditis (evidence of large mass consistent with vegetation beneath the tricuspid valve). In his A/P, he listed "tricuspid bacterial endocarditis. MRSA screen is positive but blood cultures are negative to date."
Would you code this as MRSA? I'm leaning toward no.

Please HELP??
