I do the coding for a clinic. We have been billing 82948 for fingersticks no problem. Now the billing office is sending one back stating that our local Medicaid office is stating that the CPT code is invalid for our CLIA Number. Should we be billing with the CLIA # in this situation, or can the claim be submitted without it?
