Can anyone tell me when a pt has a recurrent condition of a disease can we use history or just the disease? I know there is nothing under recurrent it says " see condition. " So in this case a pt has a recurrent esophageal cancer, do we use dx 150.9 or history of? The pt came in for pre-op and the doctor gave us dx recurrent esophag. cancer.
