Patient had 10061 done for large complicated abscess on back. Patient is 62 and not on Medicare. Fiftten days later patient is seen for active wound care coded 97602. Insurance denied code with not a separately reimbursable service.Need help to code the continuous active wound care that the patient will need to have.
