I have NYHA class III heart failure. I am hoping someone out there can let me know what CM code I should use for this. I'm getting either I50.1 or I50.22
 
I would code that as I50.9 or I50.89- doctor must specific type (systolic/diastolic) and severity (chronic/acute). I've never came across any information that states class 3 chf equals left/right/systolic/diastolic.
