My daughter asked me to do the Great American Teach- In for her 3rd grade class. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can explain Medical coding to a class of 18 3rd graders?

I always explain it as learning a new language. Instead of Spanish or French our words are translated into numbers/and sometimes letters. You could use pictures and attach codes to describe the different scenario's. I also play games, like charades, and the "Yeah, there is a code for that" videos for the external cause codes. I hope this helps.
