Can a Radiologist perform a breast exam on a patient prior to her mammogram and bill for office visit E&M code in addition to Mammogram Code and Us code? Patient already was seen a referring office who gave her a RX for the MAMMO?

What the heck!! I wouldn't let a radiologist do that to me or a patient I was escorting until I had that totally checked out. And then try to bill for it? That's nerve. There's a nice lawsuit for battery waiting for that dude UNLESS it is somehow medically necessary. Geez! Sorry for the rant. I've had a rough week.

A Radiologist should not perform a mammogram... a technician known as a mammographer does. The Radiologist reads/interprets the results of the mammogram.
