I am looking for someone that is currently billing for this code so I can ask a few questions. We are a pediatric practice that also has a behavioral health component to our practice where we refer our patients to our own in-house Psychologists. We do not have a psychiatric component so we do not qualify to bill for CoCM. My providers are asking if we can bill out for 99484 instead and while I have read the MLN worksheet and taken a few on-demand webinars through APA to try to educate myself, most of it is centered around the CoCM codes and I'm a little lost at what is required in laymans terms for 99484. I am still not sure what sort of documentation or activities they are looking for to justify billing for this. If there is anyone out there currently billing for 99484 and is familiar, I would love to reach out and pick your brain a little so I can give my providers a thorough and accurate representation of what is required to bill for this code. TIA!!!
