One of my doctors did an electrocautery on a pt for hymenal skin tags. I am uncertain how to code this. The payer is medicaid.

"...after the area was anesthetized, the hymenal tags were grasped with the tenaculum and excised with bovie electrocautery from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock. Some interrupted sutures of 4-0 vicryl were used for hemostasis."

Any advise is appreciated.
