Need Help with CPT coding

I have a surgery where the podiatrist makes an incision to down to the peroneus longus tendon where a ossicle is found within the tendon. The ossicle is resected and after exploring the tendon further, sees a partial tendon rupture present. The tendon is repaired by suturing.

I'm coming up with CPT 28208 for the tendon repair and CPT 28090 for the excision of the ossicle. I've checked for CCI edits and there are not edits.

My concern is that I may be over coding as only one incision was made to get to the tendon. The intent of the procedure was to excise the ossicle, but the tendon rupture was discovered as well.

Any input regarding this coding would be appreciated.

Thanks
