Does anyone know the correct dx code for photo paralysis epilepsy:confused:
Any help would be great!

Thanks

I was unable to discover a condition called "photo paralysis epilepsy".

In the (ICD-9-CM) alphabetic index under "Epilepsy" there is a listing for "photokinetic". But that doesn't seems right because "kinetic" would be the opposite of "paralysis".

There is a condition called Todd's Paralysis which is characterized by a state of paralysis in the postictal (post-seizure) period.

It might be worth querying the provider to determine if this is classifiable as a paralytic or postictal syndrome rather than a form of epilepsy proper. Let me know what you find out.
