Procedures: Excision of external hemorrhoid
Stapled hemorrhoidectomy
Post op Diag:
Complex internal and external hemorrhoids.

I used 46947 for the Stapling of internal hemorrhoid
cpt says to use 46999 for one external hemorrhoid

Op Note: There was an external hemorrhoid still extruding and this was excised in an elliptical fashion approximating the skin with absorbable sutures.

Can I use 46255 instead of the 46999. Don't like using unlisted codes if possible.
