DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE: After satisfactory general LMA, anesthesia was induced. The patient was placed in lithotomy and the large external hemorrhoidal skin tag was pulled down out of the anus and clamped at its base. It was removed for excision and biopsy. The suture ligature of 2-0 chromic used to tie off the base of this external hemorrhoid. The end electrocauterized and the hemorrhoid with the patient in lithotomy was between 6- and 8-o'clock position. A 2nd*hemorrhoid between 3- and 5-o'clock position was also removed in the same manner only by electrocautery and is much smaller. No sutures were used to close the defect caused by electrocautery.
Originally, I was going to assign 46930 and 46230... but the more I read the note, the more unsure I am.... And, 46930 indicates internal... so confused.
