Wiki Need ICD coding help.

Hi Everyone,
I need help in ICD coding for below given findings of Echocardiography.

"Moderately elevated pulmonary artery systolic pressure."

I would go with 793.2 for that findings

401.1 or 796.2

(disclaimer) I'm dumb and haven't passed my cpc yet .

and I totally overlooked the

findings of Echocardiography.

if you are just going to code the findings of the test you would use the 793.2; however if you were to make a diagnosis you would code the diagnosis instead of the abnormal results. by documenting and coding a definitive diagnosis it would benefit both you and the patient. another code you could use would be 796.2 elevated blood pressure reading without diagnosis of hypertension.
