Good morning all! I work full time in the Healthcare field currently in Radiology Imaging. I have started my medical coding training with AAPC. I am a very busy mother and wife as I am sure many of you are. I just need some guidance as far as how to study for this medical coding course. I am detail oriented. I am organized. I do better with hands on training. I am wondering, do I need to memorize guidelines? What resources can I use to make this training easier? I am getting it, slowly but surely, but once I feel like I am making some ground, I miss a guideline and make errors on my sequencing of my coding. Are there any resources or ways that have been helpful to any of you in your training experience? And has the job market been kind to you upon graduating? I would like to eventually code from home and discontinue my current position at the hospital. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated. Have a blessed day!
