Discussion in the billing office: Neonatologist is called in to consult an expentant Mom who has a medical condition (ie; severe diabetes, threatened preterm labor, etc.), to explain what complications the baby may encounter. Besides the ICD-9 for the problems Mom is having which mandated the consult, they are using V65.11. Is this correct? I thought this was for parents who are "pediatrician shopping"...but I could be wrong. Been there before, sure I'll be there again!

Any thoughts, comments???
