Can somebody help me with the new codes for nerve conduction studies? Here's the information from the report:

Motor Nerve Conduction:
Nerve and Site
Median.R to Abductor pollicis brevis.R
Wrist
Elbow
Ulnar.R to Abductor digiti minimi.R Wrist
Below elbow
Above elbow
Ulnar.R to First dorsal interosseus.R
Wrist
Below elbow
Above elbow

F-waves:
Nerve
Median.R
Ulnar.R

Sensory (antidromic) and Mixed Nerve Conduction:
Nerve and Site
Median.R to Digit II (index finger).R
Wrist
Ulnar.R to Digit V (little finger).R
Wrist
Radial.R to Anatomical snuff box.R
Forearm
Median.R to Mid palm.R
Wrist (Median)
Median.L to Digit II (index finger).L
Wrist
Ulnar.L to Digit V (little finger).L
Wrist
Radial.L to Anatomical snuff box.L
Forearm

Needle EMG Examination:
Muscle
Deltoid.R
Biceps brachii.R
Triceps brachii.R
Flexor carpi radialis.R
1st dorsal interosseous.R
Abductor pollicis brevis.R
Abductor digiti minimi (manus).R
Cervical paraspinals.R
Infraspinatus.R
T6 paraspinal.R
Trapezius (upper).R
Deltoid.L
Biceps brachii.L
Triceps brachii.L
Flexor carpi radialis.L
1st dorsal interosseous.L
Tibialis anterior.L
Gastrocnemius (Medial head).L
Vastus lateralis.L

in 2012 I would have coded this 95900-59, 95903 x2, 95904 x7, 95885, 95886, 95887, just not 100% confident of how to code now.

Thank you for any help!

Thank You Debra for confirming this. For a second, I thought I still have not got these codes correct. So the correct code should be CPT 95912.

Add on code 95887 can be coded for the Thoracic paraspinals!
The 95886 included "related" paraspinals. Lumbar relates to the legs and cevical relates to the arms. The Thoracic paraspinals do not relate to an extremity and can be coded seperately with the 95887!

Hi

I think you are counting the median R twice and the Ulnar R twice.. I think these are confusing to me too.. I am counting this I count ten as well

Motor Nerve Conduction:
Nerve and Site
Median.R to Abductor pollicis brevis.R
Wrist
Elbow
Ulnar.R to Abductor digiti minimi.R
Wrist
Below elbow
Above elbow
Ulnar.R to First dorsal interosseus.R
Wrist
Below elbow
Above elbow

F-waves:
Nerve
Median.R
Ulnar.R

Sensory (antidromic) and Mixed Nerve Conduction:
Nerve and Site
Median.R to Digit II (index finger).RWrist
Ulnar.R to Digit V (little finger).RWrist
Radial.R to Anatomical snuff box.RForearm
Median.R to Mid palm.R
Wrist (Median)
Median.L to Digit II (index finger).LWrist
Ulnar.L to Digit V (little finger).LWrist
Radial.L to Anatomical snuff box.LForearm

Opps

After a lot of research, Trina I am still just seeing 10, and the way you counted was correct because according to the new coding regs the F Waves are included in the sensory and motor studies, the verbiage states if done. So I think you are correct in counting 10.
