I work for a Pain Management office that will eventually be implanting permanent neurostimulators, the deal is that the provider will be going to a local hospital to do them as an outpatient surgery. I am new to the coding world and have no hospital billing experience, so I am really confused on how this would work. I have checked out local CMS website and they do not allow TC or 26 modifiers for the procedure that will be preformed. My question is what and how will the hospital bill for it and what would we bill for his time or what CAN we bill for?
