Does the neurosurgeon need to be physically present on the day of radiosurgery with Linear accelerator based treatment in order to bill appropriate codes 61796–61799?
I am struggling to find documentation requirements and if this is a requirement. My understanding is that if the neurosurgeon is involved with E/M and planning the case, then physical presence is not indicated.
